By default, YouTube Music delivers standard streaming quality. Echo Music includes built-in support for third-party extension sources, allowing you to stream high-fidelity 320 kbps audio directly within the app using the official 320 kbps extension!

1. Visit the Extension Repository:

   • Go to EchoMusicApp/320kbs-extension.
   • Follow the setup and deployment instructions in the repository to deploy or obtain your extension server endpoint.

2. Add the Server in Echo Music:

   • Open the Echo Music app on your Android device.
   • Tap your profile avatar in the top-right corner to open the Account sheet.
   • Tap Extensions to open the Extension Sources settings.
   • Scroll down to the Add new section and tap Add Custom Server.
   • Enter a name (such as 320kbps Audio) and paste your server's endpoint URL.
   • Save the server.

3. Set Playback Priority:

   • In the Extensions menu, ensure Prefer Extension Audio is toggled ON.
   • With this enabled, Echo Music will automatically search and stream high-bitrate 320 kbps audio from your extension before falling back to YouTube Music.
   • Enjoy studio-quality 320 kbps playback with real-time format and bitrate indicators on the now playing screen!

Echo Music features a dedicated lossless audio pipeline with bit-perfect DAC pass-through, real-time Bluetooth codec telemetry (LDAC, aptX HD), and live format badges (FLAC, Hi-Res, Bit-Perfect). By connecting the official Lossless Extension, you can stream uncompressed, bit-perfect music from lossless providers directly within the app!

1. Visit the Extension Repository:

   • Go to EchoMusicApp/lossless-extension.
   • Follow the setup and deployment instructions to deploy your lossless provider instance (e.g., via Vercel, Railway, Docker, or self-hosted server) or obtain your custom lossless endpoint URL.

2. Add the Lossless Server in Echo Music:

   • Open the Echo Music app on your Android device.
   • Tap your profile avatar (or the Settings gear icon) to open the Account / Settings sheet.
   • Tap Extensions to open the Extension Sources screen.
   • Scroll down to the Add new section and tap Add Custom Server.
   • Enter your server configuration:
     • Name: e.g., Lossless FLAC or Hi-Res Audio
     • Server URL: Paste your deployed extension endpoint (e.g., https://your-lossless-server.vercel.app).
   • Tap Done to save the server.

3. Configure Playback Priority & Audio Pipeline:

   • In the Extensions menu, ensure Prefer Extension Audio is toggled ON.
   • When enabled, Echo Music will prioritize searching and streaming uncompressed FLAC/ALAC audio from your lossless server before falling back to YouTube Music.
   • (Optional — Audiophile Hardware):
     • External USB DAC: Connect a USB DAC via OTG to automatically activate Echo Music's Bit-Perfect Audio Pipeline, bypassing Android's OS resampling engine (Bit-Perfect • 24-bit / 192 kHz).
     • Hi-Res Bluetooth: Connect headphones supporting LDAC, aptX HD, or LC3 to view real-time Bluetooth telemetry and the gold Hi-Res badge on the player.

4. Verify Lossless Playback:

   • Play any track and expand to the full player screen.
   • Look for the format badge (e.g., FLAC 16-bit / 44.1kHz or FLAC 24-bit / 96kHz) next to the playback controls confirming that you are streaming true lossless audio!
